Glasgow

Glasgow, has a population of around 600,000 and is Scotland's largest city and is the commercial capital of Scotland.

Glasgow is one of Europe's top 20 financial centres and is home to many of Scotland's leading businesses.

Glasgow City Centre is home to most of Glasgow's main cultural venues: The Theatre Royal (home of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet), The Pavilion, The King's Theatre, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow Film Theatre, RSAMD, GoMA, Mitchell Library, the Centre for Contemporary Arts, McLellan Galleries and The Lighthouse Museum of Architecture, Design and the City.
The city centre is also home to two of Glasgow's three universities: Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University.

Glasgow has some best restaurants in the UK and the nightlife is just cool Glasgow voted Coolest location in europe.

Glasgow has as many designer bars as it does traditional pubs and Bath Street in the centre of town has an abundance of stylish drinking establishments, including the fashion-conscious Bunker. Bars in the West End of town are catered much more for the student lifestyle and have a range of cheaper jaunts and fairly-priced restaurants.

Glasgow is the largest and best retail centre in the UK outside of London. The vibrant shopping district in the heart of the city is focused around the pedestrianised areas of Buchanan Street, Argyle Street, and Sauchiehall Street. Argyll Arcade, one of Britain's oldest covered shopping arcades, built in 1827, is home to 32 jewellery shops, while the Buchanan Galleries is one of the UK's largest city centre retail projects. Other highlights include the refurbished St Enoch Centre, the Designer Exchange off Royal Exchange Square, and Princes Square set in a renovated 1841 square has a cosmopolitan selection of designer names.

Glasgow really is a city that has it all when it comes to nightlife. From the traditional watering holes in the East End, the chic bars in the west and the avant-garde image of the Arches.
